Jared had the Thursday and Friday off of school and work before the 4th of July. Unfortunately his teachers think it's a fun game to load him up with homework when he has a few days off so Thursday was spent doing that. But on Friday, we decided to go to the zoo since it had been a while since either of us had gone to one. Idaho Falls has a little zoo - but for the price, I would say it's worth going at least once. They had tons of different birds, lots of monkeys, a zebra, lion, tiger, camel, penguins, and more. Unfortunately they didn't have any giraffes, elephants or hippos (which are my favorite animals). So I suppose we'll just have to go to another zoo some other time to see those! But here are some pictures we took:
