On September 14th he rolled from his back to his front. A few days later (17th), he was rolling all over the place. A few days after that (20th), he started getting onto his hands and knees. He wouldn't stay up very long, but each day he got better. On October 4th, Carter started army crawling. He is now pretty good at it. I'll put him on his back and a second later he's on his tummy. He pivots around until he finds something to go for (usually something he shouldn't have) and then he's on his way to it. It's so fun to watch him. Laken didn't roll around to get anything or army crawl (basically he didn't move) until he started actually crawling around 9 months. So with Carter on the move at 6 months, we've been busy keeping the floor picked up so he doesn't get things he shouldn't. We're also trying to teach Laken to keep his things picked up if he doesn't want Carter to get them.
On September 20th Carter started holding his own bottle. Which makes it so much easier for me during the day. I nurse him two or three times during the day and give him a bottle once or twice. It's so nice to be able to strap him in his recliner chair and just let him suck on his bottle while I do other things.
Carter sleeps from about 7:30pm - 5:30/6:00am. Then he eats and usually goes back to sleep until around 8. Then he gets two more naps during the day. He loves eating solid foods. He goes crazy when he sees us getting his food ready.
Carter LOVES his exersaucer. He plays with all the toys on it and bounces. He likes being upright so he can look around and keep an eye on everyone. Laken loves trying to "play" with him in there. He'll try to scare Carter to make him "jump" and he likes trying to pull him around in there.
