Took the kids to a free movie. And because it was free, I bought them their own popcorn packs.

Laken went for an eye exam and was told he should get some glasses.
With all the construction going on in our house, Carter enjoyed nailing his own creations with some of the scrap wood.

We had to have some fun with Grandpa here. He had been working so hard with all the projects we had for him. So we went to the hotel pool to play and relax.

Getting ready for school. The kids had orientation and got to meet their teachers the day before school started.

Kaliya is going into Kindergarten. She has the same teacher that Carter had last year - Mrs. Laabs.

Carter is going into 1st Grade and has Mrs. Peters.

Laken is going into 3rd grade and has Mrs. Nerem. His teacher teams up with another teacher - Mrs. Gesche and they split who teaches different subjects.

Grandma and Grandpa Ball come

Grandma and Grandpa Ball came out at the end of August to see the kids and our new house. They helped us do a few small projects around the house while the kids were at school. Then on the weekend when kids were home, they helped Grandpa Ball build a dog house for Misty.

We took Grandma and Grandpa Ball to the Grotto. It was really impressive to see all the life of Christ made out of stones and gems.

Grandma Ball helped the kids make their own pillowcases. I took the kids to pick out their fabrics and had them coordinate to their bedrooms.

Jared and I took advantage of his parents being here and were able to go out for a night for our anniversary.  We got a hotel room with a hot tub and went out for a nice dinner and ice cream.
