6:15 - Woke up and left for the Surgery Center of Idaho
7:00 - Were called back to get Laken ready - hospital gown & vitals taken. While we were waiting around they gave him a toy to play with to keep him entertained and calm
7:30 - They took Laken away from us
9:00 - Got word that everything was going well
9:30 - Finished surgery but we had to wait for him to wake up before we could go see him
9:45 - Told it'd be a little longer before we could see him because he had a few spasms while they were taking the breathing tube out. But he was fine
10:00 - Finally got to see the little guy. Poor boy was moaning, confused, and upset when we first saw him. But we got him to eat a little, gave him some tylenol with codeine and a few minutes later he was very lethargic. He also sounded like he had a sore throat due to the breathing tube.
10:45 - We were able to leave the center and go back home. Laken fell asleep in the car. He slept for a good 3 hours when we got him home and was pretty good after he woke up that time.
He looks super sore and will for a while. But he's acting more like himself today - crawling around, playing, and eating well. It's a good thing God made babies/kids resilient.
