- Having another baby (obviously) - Carter is almost 4 weeks old! It's hard for me to believe it, but time goes by so quickly. We've all adjusted well, including Laken. He loves his little brother.
- Jared got a new job - About a week after being home with the baby, Jared got laid off of work. Rumor was that the company was going to be audited in the middle of April, so the owner didn't want to take on any more clients so they could use their time to make sure all paperwork was up to date. And apparently that meant letting Jared go....temporarily. But we needed a source of income and couldn't wait around for them to rehire him (if that's what they planned on doing). So the job hunt began. At the end of last week, he got a job. He's now working with court-ordered clients (people who have gotten in trouble with drugs and the law and told they had to get clean and go to counseling or they would go to jail) and it's here in Nampa (so no commuting anymore!). Jared's looking forward to a new experience (even though he really enjoyed his last job), and we're just glad he got a job in his profession. He'll work 4 10-hour shifts (from 10am-8pm), which isn't fun for either of us since he'll see the kids less. But at least he'll have 3 whole days at home.
