Getting Festive

We put the tree up a little early this year. Just with Jared not having a job, looking for a job outside of Idaho, we weren't sure if we would have to move at any point. So we put things up early in case we had to take down. That way we would at least be able to enjoy it for a little while. But since that wasn't the case, we just get to enjoy everything longer.

First we started with the tree. The boys enjoyed 'helping' to set it up.

Then of course, we had to decorate.

The boys loved seeing the ornaments and putting them on the tree.

I love how the ornaments are all clustered together where the boys could reach.

A few days after putting up the tree and decorating it, we let the boys decorate their own Christmas trees. We bought some ice cream cones, put them upside down and frosted them green to turn them into trees. Then we put out some candies and let the boys decorate their trees. I was surprised at how well Carter did on his tree. And I wasn't surprised at how Laken ate his when he was finished. It was a fun little project.
