August part 2

After getting home from a nice long vacation, we spent the next couple weeks playing outside in the nice weather.

Having fun at the playground. Makai chilling on the grass with me while Jared went to play with the kids. He tried showing Kaliya how to climb the "big" rock wall.

Kaliya coming over to make sure Makai was having some fun.

The kids get a free pizza buffet from the dentist if they have no cavities. So we took the kids out one night. Makai was making some pretty good faces.

Laken's artwork. Pretty good for a 6 year old.

More playing outside.

We hadn't done any camping yet so we had to take the kids at least once. We tried a new campsite that was a little further away but on the lake. It was nice. Here is Makai hoping to get some food because apparently dirt and leaves aren't filling. And we took Misty with us.

One of the kids' favorite things about a campfire is roasting marshmallows and making smores. Usually they shy away from the fire and don't want to roast their own but this time, I caught both boys trying.

One of their other favorite things about camping is getting to be in the tent. They love playing around in there.

When Jared and I went into the tent to sleep, Misty was curled up at the foot of the boys. When I got in tho, she decided to be at my feet instead.

The campsite had a little play area with this train. It rained during the night (we're good at picking nights to camp) so they didn't play around too much so they wouldn't get too wet.

This is why Makai and Misty are going to be good friends. It's a give-and-take relationship. She knows just where to hang out during dinners.

Laken's first day of 1st grade!

Another one of Laken's arwork.

My happy little guy. And I finally got a picture of him standing on his own.

Baby and me.
