May 2017

The last soccer game of the season. I wish it lasted longer. They usually only play about 5 games total.

Garage Sale
We had a garage sale at the beginning of May. We had a lot of baby stuff that we just don't need anymore. It was kind of sad putting it all out to sell. There were lots of memories in those toys and clothes. But it is so nice to have some of it gone - more money and more room.
The kids wanted to pretend that they were part of the garage sale. Laken and Kaliya were up for sale.

Warm Weather = Playing Outside
Makai loves the playground. He really enjoys sliding and can do it all on his own. He also really likes to swing.

Miss K having fun. She can pump herself on the swing.

Carter swinging and having fun.

Having fun with the water table. The kids always manage to get themselves soaking wet.

Jumping on the tramp. Maybe some day we will have a bigger one they can get on together.
Swimming lessons took up a few evenings a week. Carter and Laken got put into the same level. Kaliya is still a preschool level. After these lessons, Kaliya still might stay in preschool level just because she is so small. Otherwise, she can do just about everything required to go to level 1. Laken gets to advance to level 2 which will require a lot more swimming. He has come a long way in less than a year. Carter will stay in level 1 again until he gets more comfortable swimming and being in deeper water.

Mother's Day with all my kids.

More playing in the backyard. The boys like to "play soccer". They make a goal spot and try to block the balls Jared kicks in.

Kaliya and Makai having fun on the tire swing

More tire swing fun.

More soccer. I think it's time to buy a real soccer net.

Laken's artistic skills coming out. The first is a drawing he did with chalk at home. The other is a picture he did at school. The teacher liked it so much he had hung it in the hallway outside the art room.

Having fun before swimming lessons.
