April 2018

Kids looking for Easter eggs. They got plenty of candy and the Easter bunny brought them new water bottles in their baskets.

We had plenty of activities to keep the kids busy during General Conference. We decided we would have the Saturday sessions play but wouldn't try to keep the kids quiet to listen to it. It just makes it hard and frustrating every year. But for Sunday I had bought some activities and snacks and wrapped them up. So every half hour to an hour, one of the kids would pick a package and there would be something for all of them to do or eat. It worked out well and kept them busy and quiet.

Carter playing with Duplo Blocks.
Laken is usually not one to play or entertain Makai but this day he helped Makai become a super hero. They tied their blankets around themselves as capes and then Laken made some hero hats for them to wear. Super cute.

Having some family fun. The boys were really into learning how to do handstands for a while. I had to teach them to practice up against a wall until they learned how to do it on their own.
One of our favorite family games is UNO. Even Makai at 2 years old knows how to play by matching the colors.

Indoor soccer practice for Carter and Kaliya. Since Carter missed the 1st practice, I had to document another practice for him.

Laken brought this home from art class. They learned about Van Gogh and the "Starry Night" then made their own Starry Night pictures. Laken told me all about it and wanted to learn more so we brought home a library book about Van Gogh.

When I picked this girl up from preschool one day she wanted to show me her "Princess face". I don't know where she gets this from.

Apple learning how to deal with everything in the Ball house. She and Misty don't get along very well. Misty has learned to leave her alone now because Apple is mean to her so when they were close to eachother on the couch I had to take a picture. Apple also likes to sleep in Misty's kennel and Misty just lets her. We also made a cat tower for the cat. The only thing she uses on it is the scratching post.

We had a spring snowstorm. It dumped quite a bit of snow on us. The kids had lots of fun playing in it though.
I made a sign for Laken's room.

The boys learning how to ride their bikes with no training wheels. Laken is getting pretty close.

One of Apple's weird things to do is hug my leg when she wants attention. She even tried to climb up my leg once.
Makai poured himself a bowl of cereal. It happened to be one handful of cereal and a bowlful of milk. At least he didn't spill.

Having fun at the park. Carter's favorite thing is playing in the dirt/rocks.

This cat is super tolerant of the kids picking her up all the time.

Laken brought this home from school.

More kid shenanigans. Makai having fun playing in the dirt.
Carter and Kaliya's Duplo creation.
